Urban Plant Walk

August 6th, 2020 6:30 - 9:00pm

Cost: $40

Location: Meet at the Cathedral Neighbourhood Centre (2900 - 13th Ave. Regina, SK)

Come for a plant walk and learn about local wild edible and medicinal plants growing right in your backyard!

While meandering through the cathedral area, we will discuss:
-
The basics of foraging (wildcrafting)
-
How to identify many local plants
-
The medicinal and culinary uses of local plants
-
How to identify common poisonous plants
-
How to propagate many common perennials
-
What weeds tell us about our soil

This workshop will highlight plants growing in most yards in urban settings. The walk will not be strenuous or far and I will do my best to accommodate mobility restrictions.
